  Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney is a proud sponsor of the Pittsburgh Technology Council's Venture Out 2010 — a series focusing on supporting the efforts of regional entrepreneurs to secure high risk growth capital by providing training, networking and direct exposure to local, national and international investors. The series will run March 31 through December 8, 2010. In addition to serving as a sponsor of the series, Buchanan professionals will serve as speakers at the May 13, July 22 and December 8 sessions.

Lehman — a senior attorney in the Health Care Section of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney's Harrisburg office — will present a BNA webinar titled, "Business Associates at Risk Under New HITECH Act Obligations." The webinar — taking place from 1-2:30 p.m. — will cover the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act of 2009 (HITECH), which significantly changed the HIPAA compliance environments for Business Associates (BAs).

"Building a Cost Effective Compliance Program" will take place from noon to 2 p.m. and is considered a must attend event for IT and compliance professionals.
