June 22, 2010
San Diego, CA, June 22, 2010 — S. Douglas Kerner, senior attorney in the Real Estate Section of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney's San Diego office, was recently appointed to serve on two ACEC California committees — the Legislative Review Committee and the Land Use, Environmental Sustainability Committee.
Founded more than 50 years ago, ACEC (American Council of Engineering Companies) California is a nonprofit association of private consulting engineering and land surveying firms. It is dedicated to enhancing the consulting engineering and land surveying professions, protecting the general public and promoting use of the private sector in the growth and development of the state of California. Members provide services for all phases of planning, designing and constructing projects. Member services include civil, structural, geotechnical, electrical and mechanical engineering and land surveying for all types of public works, residential, commercial and industrial projects.
ACEC CA committees are vital to advancing the organization's activities and providing real value to the membership. Kerner will serve on both committees for one year terms, effective July 1, 2010.
